Beyonce's Grammy 2010 Nails - my counterfeit

Oh My Gosh!!
Did you See Beyonce's nails at the Grammys????  SO HOT!

in case you haven't, you can check them out on All Lacquered Up's Blog Post.   And if you're a nail design fan, you MUST follow her!  She's great!!

So after seeing her blog post I immediatel had to try and recreate the gorgeousness of Beyonce's nails.  (I will be recreating Keri Hilson's nails later :)

I used regular nail polish - not the fancy Minx that B had on her nails.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!

And for reference, here are the colors I uses:
Sally Hansen - Silver Stiletto { base color over entire nail}
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lime Lights {light green at base of nail}
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Mellow Yellow + any clear polish + OPI's Heart of Gold.  [use a 1:2:1 ratio]  applied with a thin paint brush on middle of nail
Lise Watier - Pearl givree {painted on tip}  {this color is discontinued so use any light and sheet pink}

Re-apply the yellow mixture extending a bit into the green and pink to help smooth the fading effect.
And then a top coat of choice to blend out the colors

:D :D :D :D  SO HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME.
yes, i realize it doesn't look exactly like Beyonce's nails, but it captured the essence of the look that I was going for.  :D

Here's the tutorial!

Read Any Good Books Lately?

If you ever need a good book to read - that maybe everyone else has read - check out this link to the most borrowed books of 2009.
It's a library stat from the U.S but i'm gonna make a general assumptions that canadians (who actually like reading) are probably reading very similar things to what americans (who actually like reading) are getting from their local library.  :)

Oh,  and if you're out of ideas, try this website to help figure out what you should read next.

yay literacy!
