great tutorial, showing the effects with different bases really helps (: i tried this before and noticed that some nail polishes don't spread at all. duno that was actually years ago, so maybe formulas have changed lol ima do it again 'cause of this!
thanks! yeah, i find that if you wait too long for the polish to drip from the brush into the water it doesn't spread very well, so you gotta be really quick. i find that the newer polishes work better b/c they're less goopy and drop off the brush a lot easier.
you might also try altering the temperature of the water. I just used room temperature water.
